Regarding 1 Co 7:1 - I always understood it as following - some guys wrote to Paul - explain the following to us - “It is good for a man not to touch a woman.” Then Paul takes the topic and explains like the following - guys, GET MARRIED, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. I am surprised that people suddenly changing that into - Paul told us to try to NOT get married, have family and kids as much as we can. But if we are weak - then do marry. Wow. That is catholic. That is also contradicts “be fruitful and multiply” and Jesus Christ marrying his own bride - the church.

Encouragement to trust the Lord Jesus and take everything to him. I'm not very good at that. I say that I trust him and then I end up trying to control and fix things myself. Sometimes I think that if I worry about things... well somehow I can prevent bad things happening. Kinda been doing it my whole adult life. 😔 I won't forget THIS little program. Conservative Christians are liberal, and some of my catholic co-workers who observe ash Wednesday were professing atheists. They agreed with me that for them being catholic is a cultural identity, no different than whatever ethnic country a person believes they generated from. Many professing Christians freeze up and do not want to talk about any "political" issues that expose their hypocrisy. Or the deeper you go into that conversation you learn they reject parts of the bible. Usually whatever Jesus didn't agree with them about before they became a Christian are the verses they reject.

I much prefer your view of admitting the existence of an obvious duality but keeping things separate. Right/wrong light/dark etc.. Man sure gets in trouble when his thinking merges any two of these things. I appreciate you making these videos.

Unbelievable that the Bible has the "Ashkenazi" plainly in the text falling under Japheth and not a Shemite. People don't tend to view the translations as updated to be easier to read, they internalize it as the most modern and intelligent scholars translated the source texts better, or used the counterfeit vaitcanus and sinaiticus to derive a better translation. As far as King James being too hard to read, they seem to be able to follow the plot of game of thrones just fine or memorize 500 fictional terms invented by Disney, it will take the same amount of time and effort to pick up 16th century English.
